Arsenal ‘in talks with Abdul Rahman Baba’s agent over transfer

Arsenal have held talks with Abdul Rahman Baba’s agent over a surprise transfer, according to reports.

The Augsburg full-back, 20, has been one of the stars of the Bundesliga season and is looking likely to move on this summer.

Chelsea have already made a bid for his services, while Real Madrid are keen, but Bild says Arsenal have entered the race and have held negotiations with Baba’s agent.

Sascha Empacher is believed to have travelled to London for negotiations with several clubs including the Gunners who are keen on a deal. A powerful left-back, Arsenal already have options in both Kieran Gibbs and Nacho Monreal, but Baba is seen as a rising star for the future.
