Aryeh Stars win Eid-ul-Adha Gala

Accra, Dec. 22, GNA - Aryeh Stars defeated Oppong Stars 4-2 on penalties to win the annual Eid-ul-Adha Football Gala played at the Ghana Prisons Park in Accra on Sunday. Led in attack by Alhaji Sly Tetteh, Chairman of Liberty Professionals, Aryeh Stars who edged out Amando Stars 2-0 in the semi finals were a delight to watch as they matched their opponents squarely but could not transform their superiority into goals till the end of the first half.

Both teams fought gamely in the second session of the game but try as they did they could not find the net till full time. Oppong Stars also earlier on defeated Bahmed Stars 3-1 in the opening match.

Bahmed Stars defeated Amando Stars 1-0 to take the third place of the game which was organised and sponsored by Alhaji Ahmed Bandoh, Chief Executive Officer of Bahmed Travel and Tours. The 'Best Goalkeeper' award went to Prince Koomson of Aryeh Stars, the 'Most Disciplined Player' award was won by Osei Bonsu of Oppong Stars, the 'Goal King' award went to Master Ali of Aryeh Stars while the 'Best Player' award went to Benjamin Tetteh of Aryeh Stars. 22 Dec. 08
