Black Stars player Kwadwo Asamoah was given the nod over Patrice Evra by Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri after the boss revealed he was unsure of who to start in the game against AS Roma.
Asamoah went on to play in the full duration of the game without a booking as his Juventus side edged AS Roma at home in a five-goal thriller.
Carlos Tevez opened the scoring for the Italian Champions from the spot in the 27th minute of the game. Francesco Totti leveled for away side Roma from a penalty kick before Juan Manuel Iturbe put the visitors ahead moments before the interval.
