Kwadwo Asamoah is delighted with his competitive debut for Juventus but says he is not yet getting carried away.
The Ghana international emerged the Man-of-the-Match after scoring and setting up one in the Serie-A Champions’ 4-2 win over Napoli on Saturday to win the 2012 Italian Super Cup.
The 23-year-old scored a sensational volley to cancel out Napoli’s early lead in the 37th minute but the Old Lady had to battle through extra time to put to bed a spirited Azzurri.
Asamoah though emerging the star of the game played in Beijing however says it is not yet time to linger on just one excellent performance.
“It’s great that I started this way but there so many games to go,” he told Football Italia.
“I can’t afford to be super happy now. We can leave it for later when we win another Scudetto.”
Asamoah arrived in Turin this summer alongside Mauricio Isla from Udinese where he has been for four years.
He appears to have landed a starting role in Juventus’ star-studded midfield which includes veteran Andrea Pirli, Claudio Marchisio, Arturo Vidal and Stephan Leichsteiner.
