Obuasi, April 23, GNA - Obuasi AshGold FC beat Guan United, a First Division side from the Northern Region, 1-0 in a friendly soccer match played at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium on Wednesday. The Match formed part of preparations by the two clubs for the second round of the Glo Premier and Division One Leagues. Guan United currently tops the Zone 1A league table with eight points. AshGold, fielding most of their newly-signed players, played an all attacking game right from the kick-off but the defence of Guan stood firm as they thwarted their moves. Junior Elisah of AshGold however managed to score match winner during the added on time after the regulation period. 23 April 09
