Kumasi, Sept.29, GNA - The Ashanti Regional Second Division football league has been re-zoned to enable the league which kicks-off on 2nd October, 20004 to end on time.
A statement issued in Kumasi on Monday signed by Mr Christian Yeboah, Chairman of the Regional Football Association said the re-zoning of the former three zones into five zones to comprise six clubs in each of the new zones was agreed upon at a meeting with club chairmen recently.
The teams in Zone A are Obuasi Abeizi Bay, Obuasi Sadisco, Obuasi Ato Plans FC, Sekyere United, Bekwai BYF and MBC. Zone B has Kumasi Auroras, Ashanti Royals, Ashanti Heroes, Ahwiaa Osiko, Industrial United and Ojinga FC. Teams in Zone C are made up of Kessben Academy, Kufour Stars of Nkawie, Prempeh Warriors, Neoplan Stars, Great Africans and Great Ashantis.
In Zone D are Maakro Mighty Akotex, Kumasi State Envoys, ESDA FC of Ejura, Wisom FC, Metro FC and Breman Angel Nationals. Domeabra Great Panthers, Konongo Missiles, Effiduase Family FC, Asokwa Deportivo, USA FC and Owerriman FC of Konongo make up the teams in Zone E.
