AshantiGold board accepts Fianoo's resignation

AshantiGold SC board has accepted Chief Executive Kudjoe Fianoo's resignation after a crunch meeting in Obuasi on Monday.

The CEO tendered in his resignation letter on Friday and was on only waiting for the club's board to accept.

Fianoo will officially vacate office next month and hand over all documents to the board.

The outspoken football administrator replaced Capt. Rtd. Andy Sam as CEO of the mining club in 2006.

He aided AshantiGold SC to their first league title in 19 years in 2015.
