AshantiGold have moved four points clear on top of the First Capital Plus Premier League after holding Hearts of Oak to a 2-2 at the Accra Stadium on Wednesday.
The Miners hit the ground running in the Match day 16 tie when striker Yakubu Mohammed scored barely two minutes after kick off.
Togolese import Foovi Aguide however equalised for the Phobians in the 14th minute to take the game level at halftime.
The second half started with Ashgold enjoying more of the possession and they were rewarded in the 68th minute when Didier Kore netted to restore their lead.
Coach Herbert Addo then threw in more attacking options with Gilbert Fiamenyo and Gerald Odupong coming on as they sought to restore parity.
And with just a minute to the blast of the final whistle, Robin Gnagne converted a penalty to end the game at 2-2.
Hearts of Oak have now moved to 11th on the League table with 21 points.
