AshantiGold received 50,000 Ghana Cedis for winning the 2014/2015 from the league’s title sponsors First Capital Plus Bank.
The cheque was presented to the club during the Premier League Board/Ghana FA
awards night at the La Palm Hotel in Accra on Friday.
The reward package comes as a huge boost for the Obuasi-based side who will be
playing in the 2016 CAF Champions League.
The Miners dominated the league from the start to finish with 15 wins; seven draws and 8 defeats.
AshGold achieved this feat to end a 19-year wait for a league title.
