Ashantigold pummel lower side Achikens FC 3-0 in pre-season friendly

Ashantigold recorded a comprehensive 3-0 win over lower side Achikens FC in a pre-season friendly on Thursday.

Midfielder Emmanuel Osei opened the scoring for the miners before Frederick Quayson added the second.

Shafiu Mumuni sealed victory from the spot kick in the second half.

The Obuasi-based side used the game as dress rehearsal ahead of their Premier League opener against Medeama on Sunday.

The Ghanaian champions will also travel to Algerian next week to face MO Bejaia in the return fixture of their CAF Champions League preliminary tie with a slender 1-0 advantage.
