The Head coach for Ghana Premier League side, Liberty Professionals, Mr. George Lamptey, has tagged Ashgold as the worthy winners of the league.
The head coach for the Dansoman based outfit commended the Premier League leaders for maintaining their momentum even in trying times. Ashgold look set to end a 20-year wait for domestic glory when the league resumes on September, 6, 2015.
In an exclusive interview with Sportscrusader.com, Coach George Lamptey said, “Ashgold are the true and worthy winners of the league. They have worked for it and deserve it. They started strongly and look set to end strongly as well. They have been able to maintain their momentum even in trying times.
“They also have some quality players that can go to Africa as well. They fought for it and to me they are the rightful winners of the league”.
On officiating, the Liberty head coach said, “Officiating in the league has been very good except in the latter part of the campaign. I personally have no problem with the officiating until now”.
