Ghana forward Ebenezer Assifuah was on the score sheet as FC Sion thrashed high-flying Luzern by three goals to nothing.
Assifuah used sheer strength and brilliance to force his way into the Luzern vital area before blasting a ferocious drive into the net to register Sion’s first goal as early as the third minute at the Stade de Tourbillon.
There were few chances in the first half but Sion came into the second half with the likes of Ishmael Yartey playing some delightful football on the wings and it came as no surprise when Dimitar Rangelov took the ball away from his marker and slammed it onto the woodwork.
Herrea who replaced Assifuah in the 68th minute was brought down in the penalty box and he hammered in the resulting kick to make it two nil before Australian midfielder Vidosic made it 3-0 in the 80th minute.
The 2013 Under-20 goal king award winner has scored twice in succession which has seen his club occupying the 6th position in the 10-team Swiss league.
