Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce could recall Jordan Ayew for Wigan clash

Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce could recall striker Jordan Ayew for their Championship match against Wigan Athletic at Villa Park on Saturday afternoon.

The Ghana international was absent when Villa lost at Leeds United last week and also against Brighton the previous week.

It was the first defeat for Bruce as Aston Villa boss.

Ayew, 25, has scored two goals in 17 league appearances.

Villa are chasing their third home win on the spin after successes against Fulham, Blackburn Rovers and Cardiff City.
