Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey says they will need to be 100 per cent focus to avoid elimination in the Champions League against Liverpool.
Atleti travel to Anfield hoping to protect their slender 1-0 first-leg win.
Liverpool are well-known for their never-say-die attitude in European competitions. Last year they pulled off the greatest comebacks of all time to knock out Barcelona.
Partey is fully aware of that but he and his teammates are determined to progress at the expense of the reigning champions.
“Liverpool are doing really well and tomorrow’s match will be very tough for both sides. We’ll need to be 100% focused from the first minute, stick together and work hard as a team,” Partey said.
The 26-year-old is expected to start on Wednesday. He impressed greatly in the first-leg at the Wanda Metropolitano.
