Ghana midfielder, Gladson Awako is confident of starting for TP Mazembe ahead of their CAF Champions League semi final second leg against ES Setif of Algeria at home in Lubumbashi. The former Berekum Chelsea player is the only Ghanaian player who lasted the entire duration of the game in the first leg of the Caf Champions league against ES Setif in Algeria.
According to Awako, he is very hopeful of a start as he started in the 1st leg and also believes that TP Mazembe will be able to qualify to the finals of the competition.
He, however, admits that the players felt very bad after losing the 1st leg and that the task ahead of them is very daunting but is hopeful that TP Mazembe will sail through.
“Yeah we felt very bad. At least we should have drawn but we still have chance to go to the next stage. It is difficult but we have to fight for it. We have to work extra harder. I know I will surely be in the team and we shall die for the game”, Awako said.
TP Mazembe lost the first leg of the game away in Algeria by 1-2 and will be going into the second leg with an away goal advantage.
