Ayew scores on Lorient debut

Ghana striker Jordan Ayew scored on his FC Lorient debut by snatching the equalizer in 1-1 draw with Stade Reims in a pre-season friendly.

Aissa Mandi opened the scoring for Reims before the 2014 World Cup star leveled on 45 minutes.

Ayew signed a four-year contract last Monday from Olympique Marseille.

The 22-year-old is determined to make a huge impact in the Ligue 1 this term.

Last season, he scored five goals in 17 appearances for relegated Sochaux where he spent the second half of the season on loan.
