Tue, 21 Oct 2003 Source: GNA

Sunyani Oct 21 GNA - The executive body of Brong Ahafo United, has with immediate effect slammed an indefinite suspension on four regular players of the club for gross indiscipline.
A Sunyani-based FM radio station on Sunday, quoted Mr. Asante Yaw, the club's Public Relation Officer, naming the affected players as Alhaji Abass, Fuseini Adams, Justice Opoku, Akromah and Nana Adarkwaah. The suspended players who will not receive their monthly salaries and winning bonus have however been asked by the executive body to be reporting for training with their colleagues.
The FM station, quoting an insider of the club, said the players were suspended for their involvement in an unauthorized friendly match against Dormaa Aduana Stars at Dormaa-Ahenkro recently.
All efforts made by the GNA Sports in Sunyani to contact any of the suspended players on Monday for their comments proved futile.
The Kinapharma-sponsored national premier league suspended recently to enable the Black Meteors to take part in the just-ended Eighth All Africa Games in Abuja, Nigeria is expected to resume on Sunday, October 29 at all the league centres.
