Brong-Ahafo United Football Club, on Sunday routed visiting Kumasi King Faisal F/C by three goals to nil in a friendly football match played at the Sunyani Coronation Park.

Half time score was 1-0.

The wide victory aside, Kwasi Boateng's powerful opening goal, which tore the net, will remain one of the best goals ever witnessed at the Coronation Park in recent times.

The victory was also enough to prove to all and sundry that notwithstanding the hullabaloo surrounding the administration of the club, the playing body remain united and a force to reckon with.

Meanwhile, Mr George "King" Arthur, Chairman of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the Club has said the Committee would work relentlessly to project the Club to greater heights.

Speaking on the Brong-Ahafo Radio, a local FM Radio Station in a programme, dubbed "K. Pharmacy Sports Page", Mr Arthur said the sky was the IMC's limit.

He promised to exhibit transparency in his Administration, especially in financing of the club.

Answering a question on the whereabouts of Mr Quarshie, the Club's Senior Coach, Mr Arthur said the IMC had given him (Coach Quarshie) up to Tuesday, February 11 to re-surface or the Committee would advise itself as the next course of action.

He, however, said Mr Asante and Nana Kwabena, assistant coaches, were working tirelessly to put the boys in good shape in the absence of coach Quarshie.

On recruitment of new players for the club, Mr Arthur said his travels outside Sunyani for sometime now were for the purpose. He did not elaborate on which players he had in mind.

On the financial support base of the Club, the IMC Chairman, himself an old player of the club, said "whoever thinks that United will face financial problems will be living in a fool's paradise"

A number of philanthropists, kind hearted and well-to-do people both within and outside the region are ready to give their widow's mite to push the club, he said.

Asked about a possible split in the playing body in the face of the internal rumpus in the club, Mr Arthur said so far only three of the regular players were yet to report for training. He did not name those players.
