BBC African Footballer of the Year to be announced today

The 2010 BBC African Footballer of Year will be announced today at 1600 GMT.

Asamoah Gyan and Andre 'Dede' Ayew of Ghana, Cameroon's Samuel Eto'o, and Yaya Toure and Didier Drogba of Ivory Coast are the five candidates.





Football supporters across the world cast their votes online and by text, and the winner will be announced on the BBC's African sports programme Fast Track.


The BBC award is the only one of its kind to be chosen by football fans.
