Footy-ghana.com understands that Asante Kotoko left back Gideon Baah has agreed a two year contract extension with the club.

According to our sources, talks had been ongoing for some time between Baah’s representatives and the Asante Kotoko hierarchy, but a contract sum, together with the mode of payment, has finally been agreed between the two parties.

Baah has made no secret of his desire to stay with the Premier League champions largely because the club stood by him during an 18 month absence from the pitch through a leg break sustained almost two years ago.

In a related development, the reigning Premier Player of the Year Daniel Nii Adjei looks set to snub offers from other clubs to stay with Asante Kotoko.

Nii Adjei has become the subject of interest from rival Premier League clubs, but well placed footy-ghana.com sources reveal that midfielder will stay with the Porcupine Warriors pending an acceptable offer from the club’s management.
