Former Ghana striker Baba Armando Adamu is confident of returning to the pitch next season.
The playmaker-who was nicknamed after Argentina legend Diego Maradona-joined Berekum Chelsea before the start of last season but did not kick a ball.
Adamu, 32, could play in the 2012 CAF Champions League Group stage for Chelsea which begins on July 8.
"I had a knee surgery which ruled me out for six-and-half months but Insha Allah I am fit and ready to play now," Adamu said.
"I just need a little bit of fitness and gym work and I will carry it from there.''
In May last year, the former Sakaryaspor player organized a press conference to announce his return to top-tier football after admitting some career mistakes.
Adamu has played in the Gulf, Russia and Turkey.
