Defender Baba Abdul Rahman believes he could have done even better despite his impressive debut for Ghana in the 3-2 win over Togo.
The 20-year-old was one of the star performers for the Black Stars in securing their first win in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Lome on Wednesday.
Many had clamoured for the Augsburg full-back’s inclusion into the Ghana squad and he didn’t disappoint when finally his chance came.
Rahman’s solid defensive works and surging runs upfront was a constant threat to the Togolese side who were buoyed by their home fans at the Stade Kegue.
But the ex Ghana U20 youngster wouldn’t be deterred despite playing in a hostile environment to cover himself in glory with his impressive display.
The ex Greuther Furth man however believes he didn’t play at his optimum against Togo and could have done more.
“It is always great to represent your country and I feel great,” he told Africanfootball.com.
“I don’t think I did very well. I think I still have to do many things to improve.”
