Ghana defender Abdul-Baba Rahman could make his debut for Chelsea this weekend against West Bromwich Albion.
The 21-year-old signed for the English Champions last weekend after months of negotiations between the two clubs.
Jose Mourinho who has already seen his side fall five points behind rivals Man City after just two round of games says he is hoping to have the Ghana international ready for the weekend clash against West Bromwich Albion.
“Baba replaces Filipe Luis in terms of the balance of the team,” Mourinho said
“Hopefully next week he would be ready to play.”
The former Augsburg defender is expected to deputize for Azpilicueta but should have his own aims of breaking into the first team.
