Baba Rahman set to maintain Chelsea position against Southampton

Defender Baba Rahman is likely to maintain his position in Chelsea’s game against Southampton this weekend after his impressive showing in previous games.

The 21-year-old defender ceased his opportunity to impress in their game against Newcastle after skipper John Terry got injured.

The former Augsburg defender showed maturity in the champions league game against PSG three days later in Paris before an assured performance against weakened Manchester City side.

Rahman arrived from Augsburg with a 21 million pounds tag and struggled initially to impress under Jose Mourinho, but just like the entire Chelsea team Rahman has improved under interim manager Guus Hiddink.

The Ghanaian having finally shown form is likely to continue at left back for the champions this weekend against Southampton.
