Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has been slapped with a two-match ban by the Disciplinary Committee of the Italian Football Federation for insulting referee Gianluca Rochi during his side Udinese's 2-1 defeat to Inter Milan at Stadio on Wednesday.

The Disciplinary Committee stated on Friday that the 24-year-old midfielder used vulgar words on the official after he was shown a red card in the 59th minute.

Badu would be subjected to a lengthy ban and a huge monetary fine should he insult a referee again during a match in Italy, the body warned.

Another Ghana international, Afriyie Acquah of Sampdoria, will also serve a one-match ban after he was sent off in his side's 1-1 draw with Hellas Verona on Thursday evening.

The 23-year-old former Palermo midfielder received his first caution in the 37th minute and was showed the exit 13 minutes after the break for a second bookable offence.

Agyemang-Badu will miss his side’s two upcoming fixtures.
