Swedish-born Ghanaian international defender Joseph Baffo has undergone successful surgery on a shoulder injury he sustained during the Swedish season.
Doctors in Varnamo successfully operated the 22-year-old on Tuesday and is expected to be out for at least four weeks before resuming training with Halmstad BK.
Baffo picked the injury in the last Allsvenskan game of the season while playing for Halmstad BK and needed the surgery to help him fully recover and on Tuesday the operation was done.
The Swedish-born posted on his Instagram page: “[I] Want to thank everyone near and dear for their prayers and the great support from Hbk when the surgery was very successful. Now just focused on next season.”
Baffo played 27 times and scored once from defence for Halmstad BK last season in the Allsvenskan and helped them finish 10th on the section.
It was his first season with the club after joining them from Norwegian side Vålerenga after initially playing four seasons with Helsingborg and winning the Swedish title in 2013.
