Accra, Aug. 9, GNA - The Chief Executive of Bahmed Travel and Tours, Alhaji Ahmed Bandoh, has pledged his support for the ongoing Retired National Footballers Association of Ghana (RENFAG) Oldies League. Alhaji Bandoh said he is encouraged by the display of skills and quality football by the old players despite their age in the novelty Oldies League.
The Chief Executive, popularly known as 93Bahmed" said this when he presented two sets of jerseys, 47 pairs of boots and 12 footballs to Accra East Old Stars Club, Osu.
He challenged the East Old Stars to ensure that they win the Oldies League at the end of the season to make the Osu community proud. Alhaji Bandoh called on other corporate bodies in the Osu community to come to the aid of the team as they seek to bring honours to the area. He noted that the community is blessed with very respectable companies who are capable of giving the team the needed financial assistance to succeed in the competition.
Nii Larbi Mensah, Patron of the Club expressed appreciation to Alhaji Bahmed for the support.
He said the Club will make good use of the kits and ensure that they pick up a respectable place at the end of the season. Nii Mensah, who admitted that the club is not in a position to win thi= s year's league, promised that the coming season will see a formidable side that will make the community proud by winning the ultimate.
