Kumasi, Nov. 10, GNA - Bechem Chelsea played a good game to beat Kumasi Assante Kotoko 3-2 in the Glo Premier league played at Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday in Kumasi.
Kototo scored first in 17th minutes through Prince Boateng with a powerful right footer. Kotoko improved on their game and made it two goals in the 21st minutes through Ofosu Appiah, who headed home a free kick from Abdul Ganiyu Haruna.
Undaunted by the two goals, Chelsea mounted an attack and redeemed a goal in the 29th minutes by Yaw Alexander, whose powerful shot beat George Arthur, Kotoko's goalkeeper. And in the 37th minutes Chelsea leveled the score through Basit Abdul Mohammed.
Kotoko had a chance in the 42nd minutes but Alidu Harif with only goal keeper Iddrisu Abuakari, fumbled to end the first half. Both teams resumed the second section strongly with passes from all angles and in the 46th minute Chelsea nearly took the lead but Clottey Emmanuel failed to put the ball into the net.
They continued to piled pressure on Kotoko and in the 59th minutes Clottey made amends and scored for his side. Both teams exhausted their substitution and Kotoko with their supporters sleeping on tongs fought tooth and nails but could not find net. 29 Nov. 10
