Bechem United captain James Papa-Yaw Yeboah has joined BW 90 in a six-month deal after impressing head coach Dan Fransson during his trials with top-flight side Kalmar FF.
The 20-year-old defender was invited by Kalmar for a two-week trial and hugely impressed the technical team, but they opted to allow him to sign for the lower tier on a short term to acclimatise.
Kalmar and BW 90 reached an agreement with the former expected to sign him after the Swedish Allsvenskan ends in November for the 2015-16 season.
Yeboah expressed his delight after signing the contract and believes he can use BW 90 as a springboard to gatecrash into top European leagues.
“I’m happy a deal has finally been reached, it wasn't easy though but I think it's a step in the right direction,” Yeboah told Goal Ghana. “I will join Kalmar FF after the season because they were pleased with my performances during my trials but due to some reasons, I have to join BW 90 but I believe everything will be very well with me.”
He added: “I'm hoping to have a good time with the remaining matches left in the season with my club.”
Yeboah captained Bechem United to finish fifth place on the Ghana Premier League log.
