Olympic team Assistant coach, Best Ogedegbe has called for Nigerian fans to be at the Accra Sports Stadium for the Olympic Games qualifying match against Ghana.

The former Green Eagles goal tender is convinced that fans may be a big deciding factor in the game which Nigeria must not lose to have a chance of representing Africa in the Beijing Olympics in China next year.

"I want Nigerians in Ghana to come all out to support the team while I also urge the ones in Nigeria to travel to Ghana for the match. No sacrifice is too great for the nation. Ghana is not too far from Nigeria and I believe that Nigerians can go to Ghana in their thousands to cheer us to victory there. With Nigerian fans on the stands our players will definitely play with full confidence and shock Ghana at home," the former International told Radio B.A.R .

"Right now the mood in camp is great. The local players are leaving no stone unturned to make the final squad to Ghana despite the fact that we are still expecting some overseas based players. I think we are having selection problem now because the home lads have given us great hope and something to sheer as regards their form and performance in training.

"We the technical crew must not fail the nation at this crucial period. So we have resolved to field the best players based on form and consistency at club level in order to get the needed victory in Ghana. I am confident that Ghana will fall in Accra. We only need the support and prayers of soccer loving Nigerians," Ogedengbe assured.
