Ghana have slipped one place in the Fifa ranking for the month of July, despite an unconvincing outing at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The Black Stars amassed a point from three group games to record their worst ever performance at the grandest stage of world football.
The four-time African champions rank 38th in the global edition and fifth in Africa with 642 points. Algeria now rank first in Africa and 24th in the world followed by Cote d’Ivoire (25th), Nigeria (34th) and Egypt (36th) before Ghana (38th).
Ghana's group opponent at the World Cup and reigning champions Germany top the table for the first time in almost two decades, followed by losing finalists Argentina and The Netherlands.
Spain's title defense surprisingly ended in the group stage, and the former champions have dropped to eighth place.
