Berekum Arsenal fans Beat Up Young Referee

Young referee Amadu Ibrahim from the Upper West Region was bitterly attacked and beaten by Berekum Arsenal fans at the Berekum Golden City park when he officiated the GN Bank Division League opening fixture between Berekum Arsenals and Real Tamale United.

The match ended 1-1 after the final whistle.

According to reports, the Berekum Arsenals fans weren't happy when the referee allowed an alleged offside goal to stood as an equalizer for the away team in the dying minutes of the game.

Supporters of the home side attacked and beat the centre referee just after the last whilst to end proceedings on Saturday.
