Luanda, - Cape Verdean coach Carlos Alhinho was sacked this Tuesday from the post of manager of Petro de Luanda, due to poor results in the current national first division soccer tournament, Girabola-2006.

In charge of this team since the start of the season, the coach who replaced the Brazil Arthur Bernardes only obtained seven points from the 21 possible, in the ninth position of the table.

Alhinho was temporarily replaced by Carlos Queir?s (co-ordinator of training ranks of Petro de Luanda).

To remind that Carlos Alhinho was once the coach of the Angolan national soccer team that qualified for the first time in the African Nations Cup (CAN`96), held in South Africa, as well as the manager of Athletic Sport Aviation (ASA) club, also of Girabola-2006.
