Turkish outfit Besiktas are reported as in line to offer Milan midfielder Michael Essien a three-year contract.
The 31-year-old signed for the Rossoneri from Chelsea in January on a free transfer, agreeing to an 18-month contract.
However, speculation has returned on his future, with reports from Rai Sport that Besiktas are considering a move for his services.
The Super Lig outfit are described as prepared to offer the former Lyon midfielder a sizeable three-year contract paying out €4m a year in salary.
However, it is understood that the club are only willing to pick up the player on such a deal if they can sign him from Milan on a free transfer.
