Black Star Squad Leaves for Sudan

I was at the airport last night, to see off the Black Star as they emplaned for Addis Ababa, enroute to Sudan for their vital WC qualifier in Sudan.

The players that made the trip were as ff: Sammy Adjei, Amankwaa Mireku, Jacob Nettey, Foster Batsios, Stephen Tetteh, Joe Ansah, Ishmael Addo, Osei Kuffuor E. Godwin Ablordey, Isaac Owusu (Ninja), Lawrence Adjei, Baafuor Djan, Nana Arhin Duah, Constant Mantey, Richard Kingston, Sulley Muntari

It is believed that Appiah, Kuffuor S, and Duah will join the team in Sudan, and captain C.K.Akonnor.

It looks like Ishmeal and Kuffuor will renew their devastating partnership upfront, with Appiah and Joe Ansah in the middle. Sammy Adjei will definately man the posts. Expect Amankwaa, Nettey, Kuffuor, Tetteh, Lawrence Adjei, and probably Duah on the left side of midfield.

I was also at their final training sessions, and I was impressed with the determination the boys are showing to win.

The mallam is also on his way there together with Kojo Bonsu.
