Ghana’s Black Starlets team will embark to Namibia for a four nation tournament in March. Ghanasportonline.com has learnt.
Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin has been in talent hunt for the past three to four weeks in his bid to prepare his team for this year’s Africa U17 Championship qualifiers.
30 out of the 40 players selected for the last face of the screening exercise are expected to make the trip to the South African country on March 15.
The competition will be used as part of the team’s preparation for their first qualifying match which will come off in June.
The tournament which begins on March 19 will further be used by the former Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko trainer to select his final squad for the qualifiers.
Ghana engaged in a similar competition two years ago when they defeated Germany’s Westphalia in the finals to clinch the tournament for the first time.
