Black Stars Play Kenya

German Burkhard Ziese will tomorrow have a fair idea of which of the foreign-based and local players he has invited qualifies to don the national colours when he plays his first 'full house' team against the Harambee Stars of Kenya in an international friendly and the venue is the Accra Sports Stadium. Kick off is at 4pm.

Ever since Burkhard took over the challenging job of coaching both the Black Stars and Black Meteors in early March this year, he has never had the full compliment of players he would have loved to cap. Luckily that opportunity seems to be here as majority of the players he extended invitations to have reported to camping and have been training at the Accra Sports Stadium daily.

Peter Ofori Quaye, Skipper Stephen 'Tornado' Appiah, Derek Boateng, good old Sam Johnson, Baafuor Gyan and John Paintsil and a host of others would be partners to a group of determined locals to build a winsome team for the nation in her crucial assignments with Uganda and Rwanda. After tomorrows game, another meeting of the two sides is scheduled for the Kumasi Stadium on Sunday.
