Accra, Feb 6, GNA - Mr Nikolic Dragan, one of the assistant coaches of the Black Stars left Accra at the weekend for his native Serbia-Montenegro for medical check up.
A statement from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Sunday signed by Mr Kofi Nsiah, General Secretary said the return of the coach would depend on the result his medical test.
The statement assured Ghanaians that the absence of the coach would not affect the Stars' preparations for the World Cup qualifiers. Coach Dragan became indisposed shortly after arriving in Ghana as the assistant coach of the Stars on the recommendation of head coach Ratomir Dujkovic, who is also a Serbian.
The appointment of Dragan was challenged by a section of the media, which felt the job would have been the preserve of Ghanaians.
