Black Stars management chairman, George Afriyie has hailed the output of Gideon Baah, Phil Ofosu Ayeh, Lloyd Sam and Kwadwo Poku in the Ghana national team camp preparing for an international friendly against Canada in Washington later on Tuesday evening.
The four players are all chasing their debut appearance for the Black Stars after injuries and visa acquisition difficulties ensured many key players could not make the trip, forcing Coach Avram Grant to the four, two of who play in the US Major League Soccer.
But the team's management chief is praising Baah, Ofosu Ayeh, Sam and Poku for how easily they have handled their integration into camp and is convinced they will all excel in the Ghana colours should they get their chance against Canada.
A situation he reckons puts the national team in good spot to cope without the host of absent first team regulars.
"Even though we are missing some of our key players due to injuries and visa issues, I can confirm that the debutants or the new call ups have also fit in perfectly and are responding very well to training,” George Afriyie said in an audio recording from the team's US camp.
“I have always believed that Ghana, we are blessed with talents. From what they’ve been able to exhibit for these past days is a true manifestation that yes, when you opportunities to any Ghanaian, he will definitely excel,” the Black Stars chief added full of confidence.
The friendly match will kick off at 7:00pm local time (11:00pm GMT) and you can follow the game live right here on Allsports.com.gh.
