His Excellency President J.A. Kufuor said the wonderful performance of the Black Stars in the World Cup in Germany and the recent wins in Japan and South Korea continues to lift up high the image of the country and continue to make us proud.
The President made these remarks at a short ceremony in London where he was presented with some personalised Limited Edition copies of the ?Living The Dream? magazine, by the publishers, Blueprint Consult Ltd.
Mr. Kufuor who had just arrived from an Asian trip on route to Ghana, said in all the countries he visited, the opening remarks from the host heads of state were about how well Ghana football was doing. ?I acknowledged the achievements of the Black Stars to my hosts, but the credit really goes to the team. He commended the publishers for a fantastic job in documenting the memories of the National team which will serve as a keepsake.
Mr. Victor E. A. Kisseih Jnr. CEO of Blueprint Consult Ltd the publishers, in his presentation remarks said the magazine is a 100 page full colour souvenir guide to Ghana?s first World Cup experience with profiles on all the 23 players and interesting articles on vital things that happened behind the scenes, and that he was presenting the copies to the President in recognition of his personal support to the Black Stars and Ghanaian sports as a whole.
Another presentation was also made to H.E. Mr. Annan Cato, Ghana?s Ambassador to the UK and Ireland in recognition of his support. Mr. Annan Cato thanked the publishers and encouraged them to continue to come out with publications which will portray not only Ghana but Africa in a positive way. Mr. Frank Yao COO of Blueprint Consult Ltd thanked the President and the Ambassador for their support.
Among those present at the ceremony were Ambassador D.K. Osei, Mr. A. Arthur, Deputy High Commissioner and Mr. Morgan Brown, Head of Chancellery, Ghana High Commission.
