Twenty five players of the Local Black Stars arrived in Obuasi on Monday for camping in preparation towards an impending three-nation tournament slated for Monrovia, Liberia. Ghana and Guinea will join hosts Liberia for the tourney set for May 24-26.
The team is scheduled to hold two training sessions on Tuesday before the side engage in two separate friendlies against Division One sides Asokwa Deportivo and KFC Samosa at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium before breaking camp on Thursday for their respective clubs ahead of the match-day 27 round of games of the Glo Premier League.
The team re-groups in Accra on Monday, as the Glo Premier League takes a break and leaves the country for Liberia on Wednesday, May 22. They are expected to return to the country six days later.
The three-nation tournament which will also serve as a form of preparation of the local Black Stars for the CHAN qualifiers against West African neighbours Benin later in July. The first leg of the tie will be played in Cotonou on July 7.
