Boakye Out of Mexico match

Striker Isaac Boakye has been ruled out of Ghana?s upcoming friendly against Mexico in Dallas.

The Arminia Bielefeld marksman was unable to secure a United States travelling visa from his base in Germany.

In Boakye?s stead, England-based Ghanaian international Elvis Hammond has been called up for Wednesday?s international friendly game.

Ghana coach Ratomir Dujkovic gave the Leicester City striker a late call last week following Boakye?s absence.

The Black Stars have thus missed out on the services of three players initially called for the game.

The absentee players are goalkeeper Sammy Adjei together and Germany-based duo of Isaac Boakye and Matthew Amoah.

Philemon McCarthy of local side, Fetteh Feyenoord, has taken Sammy Adjei?s position.

Amoah is still recuperating from a knee injury suffered last month during the African Cup of Nations hosted by Egypt.

The game would be Ghana?s first after the early exit from the African Cup of Nations where the Black Stars failed to go past the first round.

Meanwhile, Ghana has confirmed the participation of Udinese attacker, Sulley Ali Muntari.
