Ghana international striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom scored both goals for Atalanta as they won 2-0 against Serie B side Avellino in the Italian Coppa Italia tournament on Wednesday day night.
The 21-year-old was playing his first game for Atalanta after returning from suspension and he netted all two goals to help them cruise to victory and next stage of the competition.
Boakye netted the opening goal in the 13th minute with a cool finish before adding the second six minutes later.
After his goals, the visitors were unable to come back into the game while the host failed to score again.
Boakye has now scored four goals in all competitions for Atalanta since the start of the season.
