Arminia Bielefeld striker Isaac Boakye will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury which is also threatening to jeopardise his World Cup chances.
The 24-year-old Ghana international, who has been suffering from a niggling right knee problem for several months, tore his meniscs while playing in a friendly for his national team against Stuttgart on Wednesday.
He is set to undergo surgery in a bid to recover in time for the start of the World Cup, but is definitely out of Arminia's final three Bundesliga games this season against Schalke, Duisburg and Cologne.
