Ghana midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng has returned to action after a two-month injury-induced absence.
The 23-year-old was a second-half substitute for Italian side AC Milan in the 2-1 win at Chievo on Sunday.
Boateng was expected back in action next month because of the ankle setback but returned well ahead of schedule.
He was not given much time, but his return provided a boost for the side and showed he had lost none of his combative nature during the lay-off.
"I am very glad about my return to the field. I am very well," Boateng said.
"These three points are important. They are worth a lot in terms of the league table."
Boateng's return is a boost for Ghana ahead of next month's African Cup of Nations qualifier against Congo.
The Black Stars will enhance their chances of qualifying for the tournament in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea if they win the game in Brazzaville on 26 March.
