Greek giants Olympiakos are close to reaching an agreement with Ukrainian side FC Dnipro to sign Ghana midfielder Derek Boateng, Ghana Sports has learnt.
The 29-year-old had his dream move to EPL side Fulham crashed after the Cottagers landed Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong from Arsenal on loan.
But Olympiakos emerged with an interest in the former Panathinaikos man and initiated talks with the Ukrainians but were unable to finalise the deal before the close of the transfer window.
However, the two sides have been in contact and talks are believed to have advanced and Boateng could join the club soon.
