Inter Milan teenage midfielder Francis Boateng has reiterated his desire to represent Ghana and is eyeing a call-up to the Black Satellites ahead of next year’s Africa Under-20 championship in Senegal.
The 18-year-old playmaker has been loaned to Hellas Verona to acquire enough playing time after proving himself in the Primavera side of the Nerazzurri. He insists he feels more Ghanaian and his major dream is to play for the land of his parents.
“I am patiently waiting for a Ghana Under-20 call-up to play and help the country to qualify for the Under-20 World Cup next year in Chile,” Boateng told Goal Ghana.
Boateng added: “I am working hard and doing well for the Hellas Verona junior team, though I am not expecting an instant promotion into the senior team, I know I will be there soon.”
The budding midfielder was signed by Jose Mourinho for the Inter youth team from Sarnico on July 21, 2010.
