Asante Kotoko begin to pick up the pieces after Champions League exit with an MTN FA Cup fixture against Rainbow FC on Wednesday in Kumasi.

The Porcupine Warriors head into another Cup competition three days after African Champions League exit aware of the seething anger with their ranks.

The club's CEO, Dr. K.K. Sarpong has said he understands the frustration among supporters following their tame exit from the continental club competition.

But with qualification to the quarter-final of the domestic Cup competition now on the agenda, Dr. Sarpong has pleaded with fans to stand by the team for the up-coming qualifier against second tier side, Rainbow FC.

The fixture with Rainbow has suddenly become Kotoko's most important game as the pressure also mounts on coach Mas-Ud Dramani.

Kotoko's elimination by Algeria's JSM Bejaia in the CAF Champions League exposed the cracks within the group which Rainbow FC will be seeking to exploit.

Dramani blamed their exit on the player's loss of concentration but he will need to ensure his players stay focused in the Cup competition.

However, the Porcupine Warriors cannot afford another setback, especially in the FA Cup, one of two competitions where they have a realistic chance of winning a silverware this season.
