Burkina Faso U17 coach Seraphine Degari has shockingly alleged that Ghana fielded over-aged players in their African Junior Championship qualifier after their 5-1 thrashing on Sunday in Cape Coast.
The Young Stallions took the lead but the Black Starlets rallied to record the convincing win in the second qualifying round first leg tie.
A brace from Eric Ayiah and singles strikes from Emmanuel Opoku, Isaac Antah and Nicholas Opoku put them in the driving seat.
Degari was overwhelmed by Ghana’s artistry and dominance and accused the country of selected mature players.
"Ghanaian team were much stronger and may be older than my players. Ghana is not under 17. I am sure they are over aged,” he said in an interview with Joy FM Sports.
"I must take the senior national team to play the so called Ghanaian U-17 team in the second leg."
It will be recalled that CAF appointed an independent doctor to supervise the MRI scans for Ghana U17 players.
