English Premier League side Burnley have offered Ghanaian striker Dan Agyei a new contract.
Agyei’s contract with the Clarets is due to end on June 30, 2019 but he has been offered a new five-year contract which he is yet to sign.
The 21-year-old forward has been in top form for the Burnley Under 23 team and coach Steve Stone is hopeful he will append his signature to the deal.
” Dan Agyei has been offered a contract and it is one which I am trying to progress all the time,” Stone revealed.
“If Dan comes back and signs his contract then he will be somebody who will go out on loan or if someone wants to come in and buy him then that is up to Dan. It is his and his agents’ call what goes on from there and as Under-23s coach, it will be taken out of my hands.”
Agyei is currently on crutches after twisting his ankle in the Lancashire Senior Cup final defeat to Blackburn Rovers.
